

This is an exercise at which skater begins from his knees. Then proceeds to slide 5x then transition to the other side of hashmarks and repeats. Once completed then lateral crossovers 3 to the right and 3 to the left.
This is a simple drill in which the skater goes across on an angle from the corner near goal line and then out to the middle of the blue line. From there skating backwards to the wall. Then forward on an angle to the crease.
Each group during the Camp’s Intro Night was showing multiple drills. This included an alternating Crossover/Cross Pattern Drill. Where skaters would skate a figure eight pattern with skaters behind them as they pased the opposite circle.

This drill will help skaters improve their stops and starts. With a focus on the weight shift on the restart and lifting knees to help the power of the pushoff, skaters will improve their foot quickness. Adding more repetitions will also benefit skaters’ conditioning.
This is an excellent drill to work on conditioning as well as quick feet and fast changes of direction. Increasing foot speed, recovery speed, and doing more and more repetitions of the full set will push the skater further in their development.
This skater is working to improve their crossover technique. Increasing the depth of the second push and crossing over further will increase power and speed.
This is a simple drill where the skater needs to keep their chest up and lower their knee and drag it behind them while still moving forward. This drill focuses on improving strength and recovery.
Skater is working on getting their backward skating stronger. By keeping their butt down and doing most of the work with their feet and not allowing the hips to take over their stride, the skater will develop a more powerful stride.
This skater is completing a series of forward progressing crossovers up and down the ice. This is designed to help them understand their edges and increase the depth of their crosses.
